If rebecca sugar will consider this, I want her to so that the homeworld's threat to earth is as ugly as possible. it's even more morbid when most are returned to earth in an altered and mutated state. They are suppoedly hidden galaxy warps (due to the triangular shape that these 'vortices' bear when they are shown on a map) that Homeworld uses to track human progress by warping unsuspecting ships or planes to their planet so as to do cruel and unusual things to the humans manning them.
In my opinion, In The SU world the vile vortices are something even more sinister. Among these vile vortices are the 'Bermuda triangle', the Dragon's triangle (sometimes known as the devil's sea) and the south atlantic anomaly. The Vile wortices are 12 geographic 'paranormal triangles' around the world where either mysterious disappearances or strange phenomena occur around the globe.
